"Echoes of Black Mountain"
24×36
Inspired by my photographs of Black Mountain, North Carolina, this painting weaves together fragments of memory and place. Layers of cool blues, deep greens, and earthy tones evoke the rugged landscape, while torn edges and overlapping textures capture the raw beauty of nature’s imperfections. In "Echoes of Black Mountain," scattered fragments form a harmonious whole, reflecting both the power and tranquility of the mountain landscape. Given the recent events in Asheville and surrounding areas, such as Black Mountain, this piece now has additional meaning to me.
Mixed Media on canvas framed to 26×38
